People at ThyssenKrupp

191,350 employees in over 70 countries on all five continents are the face of ThyssenKrupp to our customers and partners. The sum of their individual achievements is what makes the Group successful. Training and company pension plans, fair compensation and employee shares are therefore key to the future of the Group. This is also true of our collaboration with universities with which we aim to attract young talent to ThyssenKrupp.

At September 30, 2007 a total of 4,293 young people were learning one of 70 occupations offered by ThyssenKrupp in Germany. We have thus remained true to our traditions and continue to train well in excess of our own needs.

The aim of our employee share program, under which our employees in Germany had the opportunity to acquire shares at special conditions for the sixth time in 2008, is to allow employees to share in the Group's success. During the last two years we have successfully started employee shares programs in other european countries (France, Great-Britain and Spain) as well. We hope the program will encourage employees to identify even more strongly with their company and the ThyssenKrupp Group as a whole.

All figures relate to the 2006/2007 fiscal year, Annual Report, as of
September 30, 2007.
