Sweden
As a result of the merger of the shipyard grouping in the Technologies segment, the Group today has about 1,530 employees in Sweden. Around 1,000 people work at our shipyard Kockums AB in Malmö. In addition, the Steel, Services, Technologies and Elevator segments have local companies in Sweden.
Sales with customers in Sweden have shown a stable growth for years and amounted to almost 660 million euros in fiscal year 2007/2008. In fiscal year 2007/2008 more than 30% of the figure was generated by the Technologies segment. However, two-thirds of sales continue to be generated with the sale of rolled steel and stainless steel products by the Steel, Stainless and Services segments.
