In terms of sales to customers in the Asia-Pacific region, Korea ranked number 3 behind China and India in fiscal year 2008/2009.
At the end of fiscal year 2008/09, about 875 people were employed by the local companies. Local activities today include production, distribution, installation and maintenance of elevators and escalators as well as the distribution and processing of rolled and stainless steel products and the sale of nickel products, systems and components for the ship industry.
ThyssenKrupp also has a Group Representative office in Seoul since October 2007.
